Muhammad threw one end of the rope to Ahmed, who tied him to a rock, so Muhammad at the same time tied him around his waist … and Muhammad began to descend into the well under the light of the lamp that his brother was carrying, who remained close to the top. Ahmed shouted that the well was bottomless (about 10 meters). The secret of the discovery of the cache in 1871 until the year 1881 was limited to its discovery in the vicinity of the Abdul Rasoul family for a period of ten years … as they extracted from it what was lost in weight and high in price, not interested and burdened with mummies .. since at that time they had no value except for what they covered with gold and stones. But fate wanted her secret to be revealed .. Ahmed Abdel Rasoul used to sell the treasures of the cemetery and put them in sacks of rice in a secret hideout in the perfume shop, where Farouk the Egyptian bourgeois bought two vases or roses dating back to the Pharaonic era in a wonderful condition. But in the end, the cache was discovered and handed over ten years after its discovery to the director of Egyptian antiquities, Gaston Maspero, who officially announced an exceptional discovery in a global speech that includes forty-four mummies dating back to the modern state, such as the mummy of Ahmose, the liberator of Egypt, Thutmose III, the Conqueror, Ramses II the Great and his father, Seti the First. ..

All the mummies were transferred to the Bulaq Museum at that time, but they are now in the Egyptian Museum …

Then, the family of Abd al-Rasool had also the credit for uncovering the tomb of Ramses II.
