Egypt Magic [1013]
As an Egyptologist and for more than 36 years in this never end field, I declare it frankly I’m against any new excavations right now for more than one reason. First, we have thousands and thousands of excavated masterpieces that could be hundred years ago stored in storage magazines are in horrible conditions. Second, we don’t have perfect enough, healthy (I mean it healthy for the treasures to keep them protected from pollution, humidity, and hot weather) museums for exhibiting. Instead of getting more excavated treasures, we have to look after what we have, do the right restoration, and catalogue them.
As a human, I don’t want to be selfish to have everything and left nothing to our future generations, not only the Egyptians but from all over the world, because I do believe all that we have from the monuments spread all over the world is not only one country’ right, but everybody’s right because again we are one human being race. So as I’m calling to make the old Egyptian museum a free international university for Archaeology to teach different sciences of archaeology like the modern ways of excavations, and as well, restoration, History of the ancient civilisations not only The Egyptian but the others, like, the Chinese, Indian, the Incas, the native Americans, the aboriginals in Australia and the others. The students are from all over the world as well the teachers and the professors.
Judith Mullis, this is my opinion.
