Wadi El-Gamal Reserve is one of the natural reserves in the Red Sea, which was declared in 2003. By Prime Minister Decree No. 143.
Wadi el-Gemal Reserve is located south of the tourist city of Marsa Alam, in which many wonderful aspects of nature were manifested in Egypt, and it is about 850 km from Cairo.

The reserve also has many reptiles, the most prominent of which are snakes, including the feather and sand snake. It is characterized by many coral reefs, including the Sharm reefs, and the reserve also has sharks and nymphs. The marine reserve is characterized by the spread of dolphins, sea turtles, sea turtle animals, Ghadir reefs and Sharm reefs in the northern borders, and the reefs of Sataih, which is considered the home of dolphins in the Red Sea.
Its wonderful beauty distinguishes wadi el-Gemal Reserve due to its environmental diversity; from the coastal side, it extends over the beaches and on those beaches, there are trees and mangrove forests, and a rare group of marine plants, and at the bottom of the Red Sea on which the reserve is located there are many colourful and wonderful coral reefs and in the middle of the sea where they abound. The islands are of international importance because they contain a large and unique group of birds, reptiles and species of endangered turtles. These islands are also distinguished by being surrounded by a wonderful group of coral reefs, making them a distinguished centre for diving. In the middle of the reserve is Mount Hamata, an important station for various migratory birds. Different types of plants with medicinal uses grow on them.
