Your tour guide will pick you up from your Cairo or Giza hotel and transport you south to the famous royal necropolis of Dahshur, where you can see the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid of King Sneferu. Location: About 40 kilometers from Cairo. Then we’ll continue to the oldest large stone construction in the world, the Step Pyramid of Zoser in Saqqara necropolis. It was constructed during the third dynasty (about 2630 BC) by the order of King Djoser.
There will be a stop for lunch at a local restaurant, and then we’ll visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus. Following a stop at the Valley Temple, part of the Pyramids of Chefren, we’ll continue to see the Great Sphinx, a pharaoh’s head on a lion’s body dating back to the period of Chefren. Finally, your tour guide will take you back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
