Meidum pyramid
The Meidum pyramid is one of the most important Egyptian pyramids because it is considered a link in building the pyramids and the transitional stage between the listed pyramid in the Third Dynasty and the complete pyramid in the Fourth Dynasty.
The construction of King Honi, the last king of the Third Dynasty, began, but he died before the construction was completed, and King Sneferu, founder of the Fourth Dynasty, completed it around 2570 BC.
The pyramid was made up of seven terraces, of which only four remain now. Its height is 45 m. Its original height was 92 m.
The length of each of its sides is about 144 m. The entrance is located at the height of 30 m. Then we reach a long corridor of 57 m in length that leads to the burial chamber.
This pyramid is considered the first complete form of the pyramid. They built seven limestone terraces at an inclination angle until the building became similar to a stepped tower.
